THE FESTIVAL’ 2015 - The world's top reference for animation films
The Annecy International Film Festival 2015 saw over 8000 delegates attending the event from over 80 countries across the world which made it the biggest platform for the animation industry in the world. The massive attendance was well received & treated by the organizers & it was a treat to watch the entire proceedings of the event.
The festival was the world’s best location to check out the latest animated gems, find out about current and future trends, meet up with renowned film directors and up-and-coming talents, and track down new associates and partners in the fun and friendly atmosphere of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival.
There were a number of theatres in and around Annecy screening festival films from 10 am to 11 pm. In addition to that, each evening at 10:15 pm, there was also a screening on the giant screen on the Pâquier lawn (free to all). Totally, over 500 films were screened during the event.
The International Animation Film Market (MIFA)
MIFA 2015, the International Animation Film Market celebrating its 30th anniversary was the animation industry's foremost showcase in terms of co-producing, purchasing, selling, financing and distributing animation content for all broadcasting platforms, happened between 17th-19th June which saw the attendance from 73 countries.
The MIFA was held in over 4,000 m2 of exhibition space and welcomed 513 international exhibitors. Located at L'Impérial Palace, the exhibitors market was open from 9 am to 7 pm with the visiting professionals market open between 9:30 am and 7 pm.
The meetings platform organized by MIFA was helpful to exchange ideas about the world of films, from how they are made to their distribution, talking about the creative, technical or business side of the process at the same time. Three types of conferences were offered, along with Work in Progress, Making of, Master classes and new developments of 2015.
